The 14-and-under squad earned the invitation after taking third place in the ASA Asa (ā`sə), in the Bible, king of Judah, son and successor of Abijah. He was a good king, zealous in his extirpation of idols. When Baasha of Israel took Ramah (a few miles N of Jerusalem), Asa bought the help of Benhadad of Damascus and  Pacific Coast Regional Tournament in Visalia last weekend. The ASA Championship will be held on Aug. 6-10.

During the regional tournament, Hart won its first two games against the Central Valley Grizzlies The name Grizzlies may refer to:
  • Grizzly bears
  • Memphis Grizzlies (Formerly the Vancouver Grizzlies), a NBA Basketball team.
  • Northside High School football team.
  • Fresno Grizzlies, a minor league triple-a associate of the San Francisco Giants.
 and the Benecia Blue Steel, 8-0 and 2-0 respectively.

Injuries and errors hurt Hart in their third game, a 3-1 loss to Cypress.

In game four, Hart lost to Hanford. Hart allowed three runs in the fourth before Hanford broke it open with a fifth inning grand slam grand slam

Hart's Christina Gillman struck out 20 during the tournament. Brittany Benike, Ashley Downen, Allie Mutaw, Amy Snyder and Lauren Tripp contributed defensively.

Roseanna Reyes had two triples and was credited with four RBI's during the tournament. Mutaw and Benike had two RBI's each while Downen and Gillman were credited with one.

The team needs to raise funds for travel and tournaments costs for the Wyoming championship. Anyone wishing to make a contribution can do so by sending a check to: Larry Gillman, Business Manager, 23018 Frisca Drive, Valencia, CA. Contributions of $250 or more will receive engraved en·grave

Volleyball: Becky Martin has been named Hart's girls' volleyball head coach.

The Master's College History
The Master's College was founded as Los Angeles Baptist Theological Seminary on May 25, 1927 to meet the need for a fundamental Baptist school on the West Coast.
 volleyball coach Karen Peterson will direct a volleyball camp for grades 7-12 Tuesday through July 31. The sessions will be every Tuesday through Thursday.

The fee is $120 for those who pre-register by Monday, $125 thereafter. Lunch will be provided.

Basketball: Melissa Hearlihy's basketball camp for girls will be held Monday through July 30 at Hart High School Hart High School may refer to:

The camp is for girls ages 8 to 13 and will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.
