Wake Forest star Tim Duncan Timothy "Tim" Theodore Duncan (born April 25 1976 in Christiansted, St. Croix, United States Virgin Islands)[1] is an American professional basketball player for the San Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The 6'11" (2.  was selected Atlantic Coast Conference The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) is a collegiate athletic league in the United States. Founded in 1953, the ACC's twelve member universities compete in twenty sports in the NCAA's Division I.  Player of the Year for the second straight year.

O'Neill, who replaces the fired Ricky Byrdsong, rebuilt the Marquette program and was in the process of doing the same in Knoxville.

Clemson's Shyatt hired by Wyoming: The associate head basketball coach for Clemson University was named the new head coach at Wyoming.

Larry Shyatt, 45, has signed a 5-year contract with a base annual salary of $98,000.

Shyatt said he would begin his new duties after finishing out the season with Clemson, which faces Miami-Ohio on Friday in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

Starbird leads women's All-America team: Stanford's Kate Starbird was the top vote-getter and Connecticut's Kara Wolters became a repeat selection on The Associated Press women's All-America basketball team.

Starbird, a second-team pick last year, was voted to the first team on 38 of 40 ballots from a national media panel and had 196 points. Wolters also was placed on all 40 ballots, was a first-team pick on 34 and had 184 points in the voting.
