NOTES: WRESTLING EXTRAVAGANZA SLATED SATURDAY AT MOORPARK COLLEGE.

The Moorpark College wrestling team, under the direction of coach Paul Keysaw, is holding a one-day wrestling camp on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Moorpark gymnasium.

Assistant coach Trevor Clockerty and returning wrestlers are coaching along with Keysaw. Three of the returners are All-Americans - Juan Roman (126 pounds), who placed third in the state; Scott Erickson (150), a second-place state finisher; and state champion Chuck Sandlin (177).

Little League: Winterball Registration for Simi Valley Little League takes place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Little League fields located on Royal Avenue at Darrah Street in Simi Valley.

Registration also takes place on Aug. 15 and 22. The Winterball season is scheduled to begin Sept. 12.

Baseball: The Lu Dawg Baseball Camps, directed by Cal Lutheran University coach Marty Slimak, are under way at CLU in Thousand Oaks.

Each session will run on Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The next sessions take place next Monday through Friday and Aug. 17-21.

The camp is for youths ages 6-16.

The fee is $150 per player.

Sports camps: The Larry Wiksell Summer's End basketball camp is scheduled for Aug. 17-21 for boys and girls entering 4-10 grades.

Kevin Corley and Kenny Byrd are conducting soccer camps.

All sessions will be held on a first-come, first-served basis and have limited enrollment. Information: (805) 584-4400.

Swimming: Tryouts and registration for Conejo Simi Aquatics Swim Team are taking place at 5 p.m. on Monday afternoons at Rancho Simi Community Pool on Royal Avenue and at Thousand Oaks High pool on Moorpark Road at 7:45 a.m.

Boys and girls ages 5-19 are invited to try out.

Bring a swimsuit, towel and, if needed, goggles.

Birth certificates are required to register.

Diving: Dive Thousand Oaks is recruiting for the 1998 summer diving season.

The openings are for boys ages 8-17.
