The Santa Clarita United Rebels, an under-12 girls' gold soccer team, won the Reebok Ree´bok`

 Open State Cup held March 8 in San Bernardino.

Lauren Stockey scored twice as the Rebels defeated the OSC O.S.C. n. short for Order to Show Cause. (See: Order to Show Cause)  Tornados 2-1 in overtime. Crystal Cornejo and Katie Deever assisted on the goals. Goalkeeper Kayce Matsunaga stopped a penalty shot to preserve the win.

On Saturday, the Rebels defeated San Diego Spirit 2-0 and LV Blazers 4-2.

Football: The Castaic/Santa Clarita Valley Cougars football team is holding signups on April 4 at Primo's Pizza on Soldedad Canyon Road from noon to 3 p.m.

The cost is $135. The fee pays for trophies, pictures and banquet.

The Cougars play in the Valley Conference. Home games are at Valencia High.

Soccer: The Santa Clarita Elite soccer team is holding open tryouts for the following age groups from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Placerita Junior High: Girls' and boys' under-11 (born after July 31, 1987), girls' under-12 (after 1986) and boys' under-14 (after 1984).

Hockey: The Los Angeles Kings The Los Angeles Kings are a professional ice hockey team based in Los Angeles, California, USA. They are members of the Pacific Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL).  Youth Roller Hockey Clinic is scheduled for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. March 28.

The cost is $40. Participants are urged to sign up now to reserve a spot.

Roller Hockey: The Youth Roller Hockey spring season is under way. Space is available in most divisions.
