Simi Valley Simi Valley (sē`mē, sĭm`ē), city (1990 pop. 100,217), Ventura co., SW Calif. in an oil, fruit, and farm region; laid out 1887, inc. 1969.  Little League is holding registration beginning today and Sunday at the fields on Royal Avenue at Darrah Street in Simi Valley.

Registration is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.

Registration will continue every Saturday and Sunday in January rain or shine.

Tryouts for all players ages 7-12 will be Jan. 24 and 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Seniors division tryouts (ages 13-15) are scheduled for Feb. 7 and 8.

Softball: CCTO CCTO California Clean Tech Open (business plan competition)  leads the Church C-1 division of the Conejo Recreation and Park District softball league with an 8-1 record.

Faith Baptist Royals is second at 6-3 followed by St. Bernards at 3-5-1.

CCTO Gold is last at 0-8-1.

St. Julies leads the C-2 division with an 8-2 record.

Prayer Warriors Prayer Warriors are pilots and people from different religios affiliations part of PrayerFlight praying over the state of Ohio, as well as Alaska California, Indiana, and Michigan. The prayer warriors, as they have came to be known, do this on several occasions.  II and First Christian NP are tied for second at 7-3 with WCCC WCCC Westmoreland County Community College

WCCC Wayne County Community College (Michigan)

 fourth at 5-5.

St. Paschals is fifth at 2-9 with St. Judes last at 1-9.

CCTO Rookies leads the Church D-3 division with a 9-2 record. The Emmauel Saints is second at 7-5 with First Baptist T.O. third at 4-4-2.

EV Free No. 3 is fourth with a 3-6-2 record.

Holy Trinity Lutheran is last at 2-8.

Softball: The Ballistic, a 14-and-under girls' fast-pitch softball team based in Simi Valley, will hold open tryouts for the 1998 spring season soon. A date has not been set.
