Not too shabby for a 30-year-old who had just finished his seventh year of coaching the Mustangs. Rickard even guided them to two national championship tournaments in his first two seasons. Last Friday the news got even better. The Mustangs knocked off No. 13 National American University National American University (NAU) is a private, for-profit university with multiple campuses in the United States. NAU has undergraduate and graduate programs. Academics 3-2 in overtime in Rapid City, S.D., giving Rickard his 100th career victory. ``I didn't really think about this until I had looked at the stats,'' Rickard said of the milestone. ``I noticed the NAIA NAIA abbr. More men's soccer: Rickard's team improved to 6-3-2 after the Briar Cliff game, but it was the victory over ranked NAU (1) (Network Access Unit) An interface card that adapts a computer to a local area network. (2) (Network Addressable Unit) An SNA component that can be referenced by name and address, which includes the SSCP, LU and PU. that mattered most. Midfielder Eric Benitez scored the game-winner in overtime, his team-leading fifth goal of the year. It was the team's 22nd goal of the season, calming fears the squad can't always find the net. ``We're still making adjustments, trying lots of combinations to see what works the best,'' Rickard said. The team will see soon enough. It plays at Division I Cal State Northridge tonight at 7 p.m. at North Campus Stadium. Women's soccer update: It's not going as well for Dudley Hitchman's team, which lost all three games in a trip to Oregon over the weekend and fell 4-0 to Cal State Northridge on Monday. The Mustangs have lost five in a row - scoring just two goals in that span - and are 4-10 for the season, not far in the loss column from their 9-11 finish a year ago. Four of its final five games are on the road, and The Master's still must play away at Division I Pepperdine, Division III

The women's basketball program began practices last week, hoping to improve on a disappointing 10-20 record in 1997-98.
