Winterball Registration for Simi Valley Simi Valley (sē`mē, sĭm`ē), city (1990 pop. 100,217), Ventura co., SW Calif. in an oil, fruit, and farm region; laid out 1887, inc. 1969.  Little League will be today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Little League fields at the intersection of Royal Avenue and Darrah Street in Simi Valley.

Registration also will be next Saturday and Aug. 22.

The Winterball season is scheduled to begin Sept. 12.

Registration fee is $50.

Stokes won the BPSA UK Tour in 2004.

Baseball: The Lu Dawg Baseball Camps, directed by Cal Lutheran University coach Marty Slimak, are under way at CLU (language) CLU - (CLUster) An object-oriented programming language developed at MIT by Liskov et al in 1974-1975.

CLU is an object-oriented language of the Pascal family designed to support data abstraction, similar to Alphard.

Swimming: Tryouts and registration for Conejo Simi Aquatics Swim Team are at 5 p.m. on Monday afternoons at Rancho Simi Community Pool on Royal Avenue and at 7:45 a.m. at Thousand Oaks High pool on Moorpark Road.

Boys and girls ages 5-19 are invited to try out.
