NOTES: CLUB SLIDERS BASEBALL TO HOLD TRYOUTS.

The Club Sliders sliders

a species of tortoise kept as pets. They have a black shell and a red stripe behind the eye. Called also Chrysemys scripta elegans, red-eared sliders.
 Athletic Association, a winter league baseball league, will hold open tryouts Tuesdays and Thursdays thorough Oct. 22.

The tryouts will take place at the Castaic Park Sports Complex at 6 p.m.

The age limit is 10-14, with the 13-14 year olds participating in the Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region,  Winter Baseball Association.

Softball: A men's adult softball league is forming at the Castaic Sports Complex in Castaic and team signups are now being accepted.

The men's slow-pitch league is sponsored by the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation and is open to players age 16 and older.

The team fees are $300 plus a $10 umpire fee per game. Championship T-shirts and trophies will be awarded.
