NOTES: THUNDER STRIKES IT RICH IN FRESNO.

The Thousand Oaks Midget A Ice Hockey team won its third consecutive tournament by topping the President's Holiday weekend contest in Fresno.

The Thunder has a record of 13-2 and is tied for second place in a division of 19 teams.

The Thunder is preparing for the Southern California Hockey Association league championship in March.

Softball: The Conejo Recreation and Park district office is accepting applications for the adult spring/summer softball leagues.

Divisions offered are men's open, women's open and weeknight coed and masters, men's church, men's Sunday, women's Sunday and Sunday coed. All leagues are slowpitch.

Each team plays a minimum of 12 games. Qualifying teams compete in the district playoffs following the league season, which starts March 13. Games are played at Thousand Oaks Community Park, Peppertree Playfield, Borchard Community Park and North Ranch Playfield.

Out-of-district teams may sign up during walk-in registration now under way.
