Lancaster Blvd. Burgstaller has performed with the Phoenix Symphony and Pops Orchestra with Doc Severinsen, SEM Ensemble, St-X Ensemble, National Repertory Orchestra and Summit Brass. He records on the Summit and Channel Classics labels. Burgstaller began playing the trumpet at age 6 and by age 12 was a soloist with bands and jazz clubs. Burgstaller did his undergraduate and graduate studies at Arizona State University Arizona State University, at Tempe; coeducational; opened 1886 as a normal school, became 1925 Tempe State Teachers College, renamed 1945 Arizona State College at Tempe.
