NOTED ENGINEER JOINS OMNI USA AS SENIOR ENGINEERING MANAGER

 HOUSTON, Dec. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Thomas C. Glew, an internationally prominent design engineer specializing in high speed gears, has joined OMNI USA (NASDAQ: OUSAE) as senior engineering manager, the Houston- based company announced today.
 OMNI USA, which also maintains facilities in China, Hong Kong, and Japan, is an international designer, manufacturer, and marketer of simple and planetary gears for agricultural and industrial equipment. Virtually 100 percent of its products are manufactured in China for customers in the Pacific Rim, the United States, Mexico, and South America. The company is the largest exporter of gear products in China.
 Prior to joining OMNI, Glew served as an engineering consultant to several large corporations including DuPont Chemical Corp., Olin Chemical Corp., Traveler's Insurance Co., Hartford Steam Boiler Co., and Solar Turbin of San Diego. Additionally, he served for five years as executive vice president of Prager Inc., New Orleans, a highly regarded designer and manufacturer of high speed gears.
 A member of the American Gear Manufacturers Association, the Society of Mechanical Engineering, and The Vibration Institute, Glew is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and then subsequently served as a Missile Control Officer in the Air Force. He also attended the Dayton, Ohio, School of Aerospace Engineering and Case Western Reserve, Cleveland.
 The principals of the companies with which Glew has been associated are unanimous in their praise of his skills. Said Herman Prager: "... he put Prager on the map."
