I've long believed we had the best readers in the world and now I know it for sure.

"For Better or For Worse," "Funky Winkerbean Funky Winkerbean is a comic strip created by high school teacher Tom Batiuk (pronounced "BAT-ick"), which debuted on March 26 1972.
