NORTH POLE TRAIN TRIPS GETTING UNDER WAY.

Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region,  families have rediscovered the magic and spirit of the season at the Fillmore & Western Railway aboard the North Pole North Pole, northern end of the earth's axis, lat. 90°N. . Once aboard, Santa makes his way through each rail car, greeting children and parents during the journey back to town.

But the magic of the evening doesn't end there. When the train arrives back in town, Central Park will have been been transformed into Santa's Village, with snow and glittering lights and many festivities fes·tiv·i·ty

The North Pole Express rides are every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings in December through Saturday, Dec. 23. Departure times are at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. each evening. Ticket prices are $22 for adults and $12 for children 4-12 years of age. Lap children ages 2 and under are no charge.

Keeping with the Christmas theme there is also a special dinner train this year, Dinner With Santa. The trip departs from the Central Park station in Fillmore on Sunday nights in December at 5:30 p.m., returning at approximately 7:30 p.m. Passengers will be dine with Santa and sing Christmas carols, and there will be plenty of photo opportunities.Each adult guest will have a choice of a turkey or ham dinner, while children will enjoy a chicken fingers meal.

Adult ticket price is $44, youth 3-12 years old are $23. Children 2 years and younger are $7 for the ride only.

Fillmore & Western's original Christmas event train, The Christmas Tree Christmas tree

Evergreen tree, usually decorated with lights and ornaments, to celebrate the Christmas season. The use of evergreen trees, wreaths, and garlands as symbols of eternal life was common among the ancient Egyptians, Chinese, and Hebrews.
 Train, is back and running every Saturday and Sunday in December, with 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. departures each day. Many families have made this train part of their annual holiday tradition. Passengers ride the train to the Christmas tree farm to cut down their own tree. Staff members net and load their tree aboard the flatcar for the journey back to Fillmore, while passengers visit with Santa.

Trees and netting priced separately from the train ride. Adults are $21, while youth 4-12 years old are $11. Children 3 years old and under are $7. Create memories and family traditions aboard the Fillmore & Western Railway month-long series of Christmas Trains.
