NORTH AMERICA'S BIGGEST ENVIRONMENTAL EXHIBITION OPENS

 DENVER, June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- North America's largest exhibition of air pollution control and waste management equipment and services opens today at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver as part of the Air & Waste Management Association's 86th Annual Meeting & Exhibition, June 13-18.
 According to Gretchen Watson, exhibition manager, the Denver exhibition will be the largest annual exhibition ever held by the association. "We've rented more than 60,000 square feet of booth space this year," she said. "That square footage translates into 100 more booths than last year. The square footage of this exhibit is 50 percent bigger than what it was just two years ago."
 More than 400 companies, also 100 more than at any other association annual exhibition, have rented space. They are the leading manufacturers and suppliers of pollution control equipment and instrumentation, waste disposal and treating equipment and processes and consulting services. A sampling of products and services that will be on display include:
 -- emission and ambient monitoring equipment;
 -- meteorological measuring systems;
 -- waste treatment systems;
 -- solvent recovery equipment;
 -- biofiltration units for VOC control;
 -- indoor air and personal monitoring systems;
 -- vapor recovery and water treatment systems;
 -- pollution control equipment;
 -- consulting and laboratory services for designing, auditing, testing and permitting;
 -- groundwater, soil and site remediation services;
 -- computerized control, management and data handling systems;
 -- continuous emissions monitoring systems;
 -- wind engineering, consulting and testing;
 -- optical remote sensing equipment;
 -- odor controlling chemicals and equipment; and
 -- biological sludge reduction methods.
 The exhibition is open Tuesday and Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
 The Air & Waste Management Association is a non-profit organization educating professionals, policy makers and the public about practical environmental management. The association fosters the exchange of current technological information and encourages the development of new technology to provide for a cleaner environment. The association strengthens the environmental management profession by defining professional standards, identifying career paths and supporting individuals who are entering the profession. Founded in 1907, the association now has more than 15,000 members throughout the world.
