NORDICTRACK, DTR REACH EXCLUSIVE AGREEMENT WITH RUSSIA'S 'STAR CITY' SPACE SCIENTISTS; PACT TO REVOLUTIONIZE IN-HOME FITNESS PRODUCTS

 CHASKA, Minn., Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- NordicTrack, Inc. today announced it has signed an "alliance agreement" granting the company exclusive access to the former Soviet Union's cosmonaut exercise training technology, developed by more than 800 space scientists.
 The agreement, reached on behalf of NordicTrack by Developed Technology Resource, Inc. (DTR) of Minnetonka, Minn., was signed by company and Russian representatives Nov. 19 at a news conference in Star City, Russia -- the home of Russia's renowned cosmonaut training complex.
 "This agreement is historic in scope," said James Bostic, NordicTrack president and chief executive officer. "NordicTrack will bring exciting, never-before seen exercise, fitness and sports innovations created by Soviet space scientists to consumers around the world."
 Bostic said NordicTrack is already planning to introduce its first new exercise and fitness products adapted from the former Soviet cosmonaut space research program, including one based upon a fitness system used on the Soviet space station Mir.
 James Lockman, DTR president and chief operating officer, said: "Our relationship with NordicTrack represents the kind of strategic alliance DTR seeks to build between western nations and scientists of the former Soviet Union."
