UCLA (18-6, 11-2) update: Was the Beavers' upset of USC an eye-opener for the Bruins? ``It wasn't a wake-up call for us. It was a wake-up call for USC,'' said guard Earl Watson. The Bruins haven't won in Eugene and Corvallis in the same year since 1996.

Oregon State (10-16, 4-10) update: Center Jason Heide, who played two scoreless minutes in the last meeting because of a sprained ankle, had 13 points and seven rebounds against USC. In their last five games, OSU has wins over USC, at Washington and an overtime loss to Cal.

USC (17-8, 7-6) update: Trojans coach Henry Bibby is going to make lineup changes, probably replacing David Bluthenthal and Jeff Trepagnier with reserves Desmon Farmer and Tyler Murphy. ``We're trying to win games; if that works, I'm all for it,'' Trepagnier said. Bluthenthal said he doesn't think he deserves to start after missing all nine shots in a loss to Oregon State on Thursday. The Trojans remain confused following their embarrassing loss to the lowly Beavers. ``We were talking about the team and about what the problem is,'' forward Sam Clancy said. ``I don't know what the problem is.''

Oregon (13-11, 4-10) update: The Ducks are fighting for an NIT berth but need a victory to remain in contention. Although Oregon has struggled in the Pac-10, it lost by only four points (78-74) at the Sports Arena last month. Usually tough at Mac Court, the Ducks are 2-6 in the conference there this season.

CSUN vs. MONTANA STATE

CSUN (17-9, 10-3) update: It's senior night for Brian Heinle, John Burrell, Jeff Parris, Denny Ogden, Marco McCain, Carl Holmes and Jermar Welch. This is the final home game for the Matadors unless they win the Big Sky Conference and play host to the Big Sky Tournament March 8-10. The last time the teams played, CSUN erased a 12-point halftime deficit and won 72-65 on the road. The Matadors, who have won six of their last seven games, dominated every phase of the game in a 92-68 win over Montana on Thursday. Even though the Matadors were in foul trouble, the bench came through. Forward Lionel Benjamin started for the second consecutive game - and just the third time this year - for Jeff Parris and coach Bobby Braswell said he's played well enough to start again today. CSUN, which is 10-1 at home, is expecting another standing-room-only crowd.

Montana State (15-12, 7-7) update: The Bobcats have lost four of their last five games, including a shocking 70-62 loss at Sacramento State, the only team eliminated from the Big Sky Tournament. Montana State lost at Northern Arizona 87-74 on Thursday and fell to sixth place in the Big Sky standings. Only six teams make the conference tournament. The Bobcats are the best 3-point-shooting team in the country at 44 percent. John Lazosky is averaging 15.3 points per game in the Big Sky and Justin Brown averages 9.5. Aaron Rich has made 60 percent of his 3-pointers in the conference.

PEPPERDINE vs. SAN FRANCISCO

Pepperdine (19-7, 11-2) update: It pounded Saint Mary's 82-53 on Friday night, the Gaels the unfortunate team to play the Waves after Pepperdine lost to Gonzaga last weekend, ending any chance for an outright WCC title.

San Francisco (12-16, 5-8) update: The Dons also had an easy night Friday, outrunning Loyola Marymount 73-60 in Westchester, snapping a skid at two games.
