NIGERIA - GTL Venture.


Nigeria is to have a gas-to-liquids (GTL) plant as a JV led by ChevronTexaco and Sasol of South Africa, with a plant to be built along-side Chevron's Escravos gas complex. The GTL plant will be on stream by 2005 with a capacity of 34,000 b/d of synthetic fuels and naphtha naphtha (năp`thə, năf`–), term usually restricted to a class of colorless, volatile, flammable liquid hydrocarbon mixtures. .
