NIELSEN ANNOUNCES A SERIES OF EUROPEAN CLIENT AGREEMENTS

 OXFORD, England, Dec. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Nielsen announced evidence that the changes it started in Europe last year are providing successful in the marketplace. Specifically, it has recently concluded a series of partnership agreements with leading manufacturers in Europe.
 Nielsen is the world's largest marketing information organization, with operations in 34 countries, including 20 in Europe. Over the past 18 months it has re-engineered its European organization to ensure it is more responsive to its clients' information needs both locally, on an individual country basis, and globally.
 Nielsen disclosed that they have already reached agreements with Beiersdorf, Cadbury Beverages Europe, Jamont, Procter & Gamble and 3M. These agreements are for information partnerships across Europe for data, software or both. These decisions come after a review of the capabilities and services offered by Nielsen to the industry.
 Christos M. Cotsakos, president and chief executive officer, Nielsen International, commented, "This is indicative of the 18 month change process that Nielsen Europe has implemented in order to strengthen its overall leadership position in Europe and around the world."
