NICT to Launch the World's Fastest and Highest Density Optical Modulator.Tokyo, Japan, Sept 29, 2006 - (JCN JCN Japan Corporate NewsJCN Journal of Cognitive Neuroscience JCN Journal of Cardiovascular Nursing JCN Journal of Christian Nursing JCN Job Control Number JCN Journal of Child Neurology JCN joint communications network (US DoD) ) - The National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT NICT National Incident Coordination Team (EPA) NICT New Information and Communication Technology/Technologies ) today announced its launch of a high speed optical modulator for light network. The optical modulator boasts a signal speed of over 100Gb/s DQPSK DQPSK Differential Quadrature Phase Shift Keying DQPSK Differential Quaternary Phase Shift Keying . According to the feasibility test results, the optical modulator achieved the world record-breaking 12.3Tb/s for C band light fiber data transmission, and with a frequency efficiency of 3.2b/s/Hz achieved the long distance record of 2,000km with transmission speed of over 100Gb/s. NICT reported its findings at ECOC ECOC European Conference on Optical Communications ECOC Error Correcting Output Codes ECOC Experimental Combat Operations Center ECOC Enhanced Combat Operation Center ECOC Emotional Cycle of Change 2006. Going forward, NICT will continue to polish its modulator technology and expand into new broadband with more transmission data storage possible. Copyright [c] 2006 Japan Corporate News Network.
