, who last competed in a full-field Southern California tour event in the 1998 U.S. Senior Open at Riviera Country Club The Riviera Country Club is a country club with a championship golf course. It is located in Pacific Palisades, California, within the city limits of Los Angeles, California. The country club opened in 1926, with George C. Thomas, Jr. as the course architect. , is entered in this week's Champions Tour Toshiba Senior Classic, which runs Friday through Sunday at Newport Beach Golf and Country Club.

Nicklaus, 64, who won 18 majors on the PGA Tour and eight additional majors on the Champions Tour, also is entered in two Pro-Ams at Newport Beach, at 12:45 p.m. today and 7:15 a.m. Thursday.

Nicklaus, who won two U.S. Amateurs before going on to win three British Opens, four U.S. Opens, five PGA Championships and six Masters - the last at age 46 - ranks second on the PGA Tour with 73 official titles.

Nicklaus has won 10 tournaments on the Champions Tour, formerly called the PGA (1) (Professional Graphics Adapter) An early IBM PC display standard for 3D processing with 640x480x256 resolution. It was not widely used.
