In announcing the acquisition, Michelle S. Cox, executive vice president and group publisher of WBI (and a former executive at NIBM), said, "We are pleased to acquire Great Communicator and believe it to be a perfect match with one of our finest publications, Communication Briefings."

WBI, an affiliate of The Wicks Group of Companies LLC based in Fairfield, Conn., has continued pursuing a vigorous acquisition program while M & A activity in the industry has generally slowed down with the economy.
