NHL, AHL TEST CHANGES IN RULES.

 will conduct a series of experiments to explore potential rule changes that were recommended for testing by NHL general managers This is a List of General Managers in the National Hockey League. In the National Hockey League, the General Manager of a team typically controls player transactions and bears the primary responsibility on behalf of the hockey club during contract discussions with players.  at their meeting in Scottsdale, Ariz., last month.

The experimental rule changes are designed to increase scoring opportunities and include having penalized pe·nal·ize

More than 200 AHL players have played in the NHL this season, and AHL president Dave Andrews believes the potential rule changes will be fairly tested without compromising competitiveness in the AHL.
