NFR Security, Inc., a leading developer of Intrusion Detection Solutions (IDS), today announced that it has acquired Value Added Reseller (VAR) Anzen Computing's intrusion detection technology and related support contracts.

This move underscores NFR Security's commitment to acquiring enhanced feature sets that empower customers to protect themselves against internal and external attacks. With this move, NFR Security will take over day-to-day maintenance for all of Anzen Computing's IDS customers.

Anzen Computing leveraged NFR Security's original intrusion detection product, Network Intrusion Detection (NID), to build its own version of this product offering - Anzen Flight Jacket (AFJ). AFJ provides customers NFR Security's powerful intrusion detection engine with a set of pre-packaged filters to perform superior anomaly detection and reduce false positives. These filters are used for reducing programming time and built to perform extremely well when a network is flooded with traffic. Typically, intrusion detection tools offer separate filters for different types of attacks - AFJ offers one filter to examine various types of attacks, boosting overall performance. Further, AFJ provides real-time intruder tracking and can be customized to immediately alert administrators of any new attacks or system compromises.
