 today announced the winners of the second annual FEDEX AIR & GROUND(TM) NFL PLAYERS OF THE YEAR AWARD at a press conference in Jacksonville, site of Super Bowl XXXIX Super Bowl XXXIX was the 39th championship game of the modern National Football League (NFL).       More than 168,000 fans voted at NFL.com from Wednesday, January 12 through Thursday, January 27. After tabulating this season's fan voting the six finalists were chosen by a panel of NFL experts. Throughout the regular season, NFL fans voted for weekly winners on NFL.com and a donation of $5,000 was made to local children's hospitals in each winning player's market. FedEx donated nearly $250,000 to local children's hospitals around the country in recognition of the winning athletes.
