team inch along, its governors have a message for anyone wanting to talk about who will end up there: Don't call us, call the NFL.

San Diego San Diego (săn dēā`gō), city (1990 pop. 1,110,549), seat of San Diego co., S Calif., on San Diego Bay; inc. 1850. San Diego includes the unincorporated communities of La Jolla and Spring Valley. Coronado is across the bay.  city attorney Mike Aguirre Michael Jules Aguirre (born 1949) is the City Attorney for the City of San Diego, California. A frequent political candidate and prominent figure in San Diego politics, Aguirre was elected as city attorney in November, 2004.  recently e-mailed a public records request to Coliseum general manager Pat Lynch asking for any documents detailing contact between the Chargers and the Coliseum, which would be a violation of the Chargers' lease with the city of San Diego. Lynch replied that there were none.

Coliseum commissioners also reiterated Wednesday at their monthly meeting that they were not plotting to lure the Saints away from hurricane-ravaged New Orleans New Orleans (ôr`lēənz –lənz, ôrlēnz`), city (2006 pop. 187,525), coextensive with Orleans parish, SE La., between the Mississippi River and Lake Pontchartrain, 107 mi (172 km) by water from the river mouth; founded . The Washington Post reported at least one owner on the NFL owners' committee on the Saints expected the team to end up in Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850. .

``We're being asked a lot, `Do we have a position on this?' '' commission president Bill Chadwick said. ``Our official position has been to talk to the NFL. We have no interest in capitalizing on what's going on What's Going On is a record by American soul singer Marvin Gaye. Released on May 21, 1971 (see 1971 in music), What's Going On reflected the beginning of a new trend in soul music.  down there (in New Orleans). I would say a) it's the right thing to do and b) we've made a concerted effort to work with the NFL. If there are any questions, we'd refer them to the NFL.''

County supervisor Yvonne Burke, who brought the issue before the commission, said she was concerned that even commenting on the Saints could violate the team's lease agreement.

``Everybody (on the commission) is not a public official so they may not be aware,'' said Burke, who said she has fielded calls from reporters but not from any team. ``Our comment is no comment.''
