``They said it would take 4-6 days (to get over),'' he said ``Saturday will be six days, so sometime between now and then I'll be over it.''

Brown remembered how Buffalo's defense missed All-Pro Bruce Smith, who sat out the Bills' playoff loss in Pittsburgh with the flu last season.

``I was thinking that when I got out of bed, and my back was aching and I could barely bend over. Luckily, I didn't have a 104-degree temperature like he did,'' Brown said. ``My temperature was normal. I just have the other signs of the sickness.''

Also not practicing were defensive end Brentson Buckner (ankle) and Bill Johnson (injured finger) and Rod Woodson, who usually sits out practice on Thursdays to rest his surgically repaired knee.
