Atlanta Falcons
    The Atlanta Falcons are a American football team based in Atlanta, Georgia. They are currently a member of the NFC South of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). The Falcons joined the NFL as a 1966 expansion team.
     quarterback Michael Vick's future on -- or off -- the playing field will be determined by early next week, the Atlanta Journal- Constitution reported.

     and NFL players union officials held a third day of conference calls Friday to try to resolve what to do with Vick, who was indicted INDICTED, practice. When a man is accused by a bill of indictment preferred by a grand jury, he is said to be indicted.  Tuesday on federal dogfighting charges.

    Several items need to be ironed out between all parties, but things are moving forward to where a decision will be made before Falcons players report to training camp Wednesday, a person with knowledge of the situation confirmed.

    A paid leave of absence for Vick is one option being discussed, along with a suspension. The possibility still remains that he will be allowed to play this season.

    ESPN ESPN Entertainment and Sports Programming Network  reported Friday that the Falcons, the NFL and the NFL Players Association would urge Vick to accept a one-year suspension. NFL senior vice president Joe Browne and NFLPA NFLPA National Football League Players Association  executive director Gene Upshaw Eugene Thurman Upshaw, Jr. (born August 15, 1945 in Robstown, Texas) is a former American football guard, who played for the Oakland Raiders in the American Football League and the National Football League for 16 years after graduating from Texas A&I University (now Texas A&M  disputed the report.
