She is a founding member of the Women Presidents' Organization, Raleigh Chapter, and has been involved in the National Association of Women Business Owners The National Association of Women's Business Owners (NAWBO) is an organization in the United States founded in 1975 that has the purpose of networking the approximately 10. for over 12 years and currently serves on the North Carolina Board of Directors. She was inducted into the Women's Forum of North Carolina in 2004, and heads the Public Policy Committee. She is a founding member of the Triangle Business Journal's online community, bizwomen.com.
