) today announced plans for a national traveling shopping mall tour and exhibit for 2007, the NFF's 60th anniversary year. Plans were unveiled at a news conference honoring the 2006 College Football Hall of Fame Division I-A Class, which will be inducted tonight at the 49th Annual Awards Dinner.

The multi-market tour, slated to take place in the locales of several top college rivalries during respective game weeks, will feature appearances by famous College Football Hall of Famers and celebrities, historical exhibits and artifacts artifacts

The tour, celebrating the traditions of college football, will highlight six rivalry match-ups for the first year, likely including: Texas vs. Oklahoma; Florida vs. Georgia; Ohio State vs. Michigan; and Alabama vs. Auburn. The NFF plans to expand the event in coming years.

"College football is among America's greatest passions and pastimes. Through the mall tour planned for the NFF's 60th anniversary in 2007, we are proud to bring the excitement of some of college's greatest showdowns to communities across the country, also fostering our mission and educating patrons on the tremendous impact of college football and its players," said NFF President Steven J. Hatchell. "We are planning a collaborative effort with the featured colleges, extending the thrill of the match-ups beyond game day and to an even broader fan base."
