 AS ONE IN 10 BRITS MOVE ABROAD

BRITAIN is being hit by a brain drain with one in 10 highly-skilled workers leaving, a report said yesterday. The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), (in French: Organisation de coopération et de développement économiques; OCDE) is an international organisation of thirty countries that accept the principles of representative democracy and a free market  said 1.1 million nativeborn Britons with higher education qualifications now live overseas. In Germany 860,000 go abroad, USA 410,000 and France 370,000. Only Ireland has lost more of its highly-educated population, with 22 per cent living as expats. OECD OECD: see Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.  boss Angel Gurria said: "Governments need to act now to help satisfy labour needs partly through migration and enable the integration of migrants."

'SQUATTER' QUEEN WINS AN ESTUARY

THE Queen has won squatter's rights over a tract of the Severn Estuary potentially worth millions. Judges ruled the Crown had acquired "adverse possession" by using it for many years before its ancient title was bought by historian Mark Roberts in 1997.
