The Times and LANG's combined Sunday circulation is 1,816,252. LANG has a Sunday circulation of 455,051, and The Times' Sunday circulation is 1,361,201. Last May, LANG newspapers began participating in the Times' midweek advertising program, Times Direct. Times Direct combines weekday home-delivered newspaper distribution and mail distribution of preprinted inserts to reach most of the households in the Los Angeles Designated Marketing Area (Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura and San Bernardino counties, in addition to the eastern portion of Kern County and the western portion of Riverside County). LANG's participation in Times Direct has significantly increased the number of newspaper subscribers who receive advertiser inserts, making the program even more effective and efficient for advertisers, the companies said. LANG is owned by Garden State Newspapers, with headquarters in Denver. It is an affiliate of William Dean Singleton's MediaNews Group.
