Dave, Oprah - Oprah, Dave

Whatever bad blood has come between Oprah Winfrey “Oprah” redirects here. For the show, see The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Oprah Gail Winfrey (born January 29, 1954) is the American multiple-Emmy Award winning host of The Oprah Winfrey Show, the highest-rated talk show in television history.
and David Letterman David Michael Letterman (born April 12, 1947, in Indianapolis, Indiana, U.S.) is an award-winning American comedian, late night talk show host, television producer, philanthropist, and IRL IndyCar Series car owner.  - maybe it was one too many ``Oprah, Uma'' bits when he hosted the Oscars telecast in 1995 - Winfrey apparently is willing to move on.

After considerable goading from Letterman on the air, she has agreed to appear on ``The Late Show With David Letterman'' on Dec. 1.

Of course, she's highly motivated. That's the same night as the red- carpet premiere of the Broadway musical ``The Color Purple,'' which Winfrey is producing. Letterman already featured a production number from the show.

``Put bygones behind us, the water under the bridge, over the dam, wherever water goes - standing in your basement - she's going to be here on this show and it's going to be fantastic,'' Letterman told Monday's audience.
