surgeon who reshaped Paula Jones' nose has been sued by his office assistant, who claims he demanded sex as a condition for keeping her job.

Christine Sabia said in court papers that immediately after Dr. Thomas W. Loeb did Jones' surgery in July 1998, he went into his office, dropped his pants and demanded oral sex.

Sabia, 36, also said Loeb had planned to videotape Jones' surgery and sell it to the highest-bidding tabloid. The suit did not say whether the videotape was made.

Loeb admitted he had an affair with Sabia but said it was brief, consensual and initiated by her. Loeb said he ended the affair and that Sabia has been demanding money ever since.

``The easiest thing to do would have been to pay her off, but I was not willing to be extorted,'' Loeb said Tuesday. ``I trust in our legal system, and I'm sure I'll be vindicated in court.''

Sabia said in papers filed in Manhattan's State Supreme Court that she submitted to Loeb for nearly nine months because she needed the salary. Her lawsuit asks for unspecified damages and attorneys' fees.
