NEWS LITE : CLINTON'S WORKOUT HAS CHIEF CHISELED.

``The guy is buffed.'' So said a White House aide recently about - President Clinton? OK, he's not exactly JFK Jr., but, notes presidential press secretary Michael McCurry: ``His workout program is getting to the point where he might actually be able to do some of the things Harrison Ford does in (``Air Force One''). It might be pretty useful in negotiations with Congress to be able to break somebody in half.''

It was feared in March when he messed up his knee that Clinton would pork up during his recovery. Instead, by swimming, pumping iron and stocking Air Force One with fruit, he's dropped 14 pounds to put him within a few pounds of his top ideal weight of 194 pounds. He rolled into the presidency at a flabby flab·by

Moore film contains no real naval shots

The Navy didn't go overboard helping Demi Moore Demi Kutcher (born Demetria Gene Guynes on November 11, 1962) is an American actress. For most of her career, she has been known as Demi Moore, using the surname of her first husband, singer-songwriter Freddy Moore.  with ``G.I. Jane.'' Filmmakers were not allowed to use Navy bases, personnel or equipment as backdrops for the story of a woman trying to become the first female SEAL.

``We felt that the script we reviewed didn't reflect today's military,'' Rear Adm. Kendell Pease, the Navy's chief of information, said in Wednesday's Washington Times.

``Our objective, when we give cooperation with a film, is realism,'' Pease said.

Even the film's title defies realism, since G.I. is used for soldiers, not Navy ``swabbies.''

Fashion creator plans 3-day, 2-gown wedding

Betsey Johnson, the fashion designer, has never been known for being conventional, so it should come as no surprise that her wedding celebration will be adventurous.

Sunday, she will marry Brian Reynolds, a computer systems designer, in Yorkshire, near Reynolds' birthplace of Bradford in northern England. ``It will be in a tiny old chapel 1,000 feet above sea level, amid hills and dales and moors close to the Bronte home,'' said Johnson, who is in England.

Though Reynolds originally did not want even a reception, there will be a three-day marathon of activities for 150 guests, including trips to a brewery, rides on a steam engine and a rock-and-roll barn dance.

Johnson will wear two wedding dresses. To walk down the aisle, escorted by her 22-year-old daughter, Lulu, she will wear an organza or·gan·za
