DeBell: Junior members Danny Hoffenberg and Matthew Hoffenberg of Burbank recorded holes-in-one on the same day in the same tournament, the Optimist Junior World Championships in San Diego San Diego (săn dēā`gō), city (1990 pop. 1,110,549), seat of San Diego co., S Calif., on San Diego Bay; inc. 1850. San Diego includes the unincorporated communities of La Jolla and Spring Valley. Coronado is across the bay. .

. Brother Matthew, 7, recorded his ace on the 95-yard ninth hole. He used a 7-iron.

Van Nuys: Raul Bagolor of North Hills shot a hole-in-one on the Executive Course in Van Nuys on the 120-yard ninth hole. After struggling through the round, he hit a 9-iron that hopped on the fringe On The Fringe is a popular Pakistani television show on Indus Music. It is hosted and scripted by the eccentric television host and music critic, Fasi Zaka and directed by Zeeshan Pervez.  and started rolling toward the hole. It was his first ace in his nine months of playing golf.

Vista Valencia: Russell Kozaki of Santa Clarita Santa Clarita, city (1990 pop. 110,642), Los Angeles co., S Calif., suburb 30 mi (48 km) NW of downtown Los Angeles, on the Santa Clara River; inc. 1987. Situated in the Santa Clara valley and nearby canyons, Santa Clarita includes the former towns of Canyon Country,  shot a hole-in-one on the 101-yard fifth hole. He used a 9-iron for his first ace in nine years of playing.

: Jason Wilk of Agoura won the 11-12 Flight at the Oxnard Junior City Championships. He shot 2-over-par 38, beating fellow Agourans Taylor Hunt (40) and Brandon Beck (41).

 Department of Recreation and Parks sent four young golfers to New York to represent the city in the Summer Youth Games. The children are 15-year-olds Jonathan Vasquez of Los Angeles and Northridge resident Krystal Shearer, 12-year-old Sonny Nimkhum of Cerritos and 11-year-old Torrance resident Amie Cochran. The 36-hole tournament, which features 12 teams from cities across the U.S. and the Virgin Islands, began Saturday.

Amateur Championship: Jody Duclos of Moorpark, Granada Hills resident Linda Olsen and Alicia Um of Newbury Park are competing in the 97th United States Women's Amateur Championship at Brae brae

 Burn Country Club in West Newton, Mass. The event began Monday and concludes Saturday.

Sinaloa: The club is holding the Bob Artz Junior Memorial Tournament Aug. 28. The event, which begins at noon, is open to anyone 17-years and under. The cost for the 9-hole event, which includes green fee, prizes and a golf towel, is $12. Entry forms are due by noon on Aug. 27. Information: (805) 581-2662.

Los Verdes: Los Angeles' 1997 Men's Championship Golf Tournament is Aug. 16-17 at the club in Rancho Palos Verdes Rancho Pal·os Ver·des

Oakmont: The seventh-annual Select Office Solutions Foundation Golf Tournament is Aug. 18. Tournament proceeds benefit needy children in L.A. and Orange Counties. Over the past six years, the foundation has raised more than $290,000 for disadvantaged and abused children.

Vista Valencia: Results from the Valencia women's golf club weekly game, Fielder's Choice, in which participants choose, in advance, two par-5, two 3-par and five par-4 holes that will count, minus half handicap.
