At that frightening moment, Sheffield tells Fran he loves her. Because of its decision, CBS also said Tuesday that the show's season opener (airing at 8 p.m. Sept. 18). in which the story line picks up, will undergo some editing changes. The cast had taped the opener - which included scenes on the plane - in May, well before the real-life tragedy. A CBS spokesman says that, while all scenes in the plane can't be excised, they've been trimmed dramatically. The new opener also will include clips from the cliffhanger finale so that viewers won't be confused as a result of the changes, the spokesman said. `Dateline,' People hook up: NBC's ``Dateline'' and People magazine will team to produce stories that will appear simultaneously in the magazine and on television. Under the deal announced Tuesday, ``Dateline'' will produce segments based on stories being developed by People. |
