NEWS & NOTES : NEW FOX ENTERTAINMENT HEAD SAYS HE LIKES VISION OF NETWORK.


The executive revolving door was in motion last Friday at Fox Entertainment, the programming department of the network.

Peter Roth Peter Roth may refer to:

 became the president, replacing John Matoian, who resigned after two years on the job.Roth, a veteran television executive, has been head of Twentieth Television for the past three years.

Prior to joining Twentieth in 1992, Roth worked at Stephen J. Cannell Stephen Joseph Cannell, (born February 5, 1941; IPA pronunciation: ['kænəl], rhymes with "channel"), is an Emmy award winning American television producer, writer, novelist and occasional actor.  Productions, where he helped create ``21 Jump Street,'' ``Wiseguy'' and ``The Commish.''

Roth didn't elaborate on his plans, he did say in a statement that he is ``thoroughly'' supportive of ``the direction this company has taken. I respect and admire its brazenness and vision.''

On Fridays, the show will serve as a companion piece to MSNBC's ``Time and Again,'' which is hosted by Jane Pauley Margaret Jane Pauley (born October 31, 1950, in Indianapolis, Indiana) is an American television journalist, and has been involved in news reporting since 1975. She is most known for her 13 year tenure on NBC's "Today" program and later 12 years of "Dateline NBC," and has . The Pauley program, looking back at major news events, is usually an hour, but will be trimmed to 30 minutes for the Friday telecast.
