Gerald Michael Rivera[1] (born July 4, 1943), known by his TV name Geraldo Rivera or simply Geraldo is being wooed by Fox News to become the host of a weekly prime-time program that could end up airing head-to-head with CBS' ``60 Minutes,'' sources said. Under a scenario circulating Thursday, Rivera, currently anchor of CNBC's ``Rivera Live'' and host of the daytime talk show ``Geraldo,'' would host the new series for the Fox network, not the new Fox News cable channel. The talk is that it would air at 7 p.m. Sundays, though that part of the equation appears less certain. If a deal can be worked out, Rivera would be reteamed with former CNBC CNBC Center for the Neural Basis of Cognition (artificial intelligence) CNBC Consumer News and Business Channel CNBC Congress of National Black Churches, Inc. head Roger Ailes, who now runs Fox News. However, in the past, Ailes has taken great pride in saying how Rivera was locked up contractually with CNBC. ``A, I am Roger Ailes' No. 1 fan in America,'' Rivera said Thursday through a spokesman. ``B, I am contractually free to take any network job. And C, I have no comment on any business negotiation that may or may not be taking place.'' Sitcom shuffle: ABC's castoff cast·off n. 1. One that has been discarded. 2.
