NEWLY PATENTED WORK BELT REDUCES BACK INJURIES
 Champion Ergonomics Introduces New Design
WAKE FOREST, N.C., May 18 /PRNewswire/ -- A unique patented work belt which provides true abdominal lift support and can be easily checked for proper wearing is now available from Champion Ergonomics. Champion's belt is designed with a patented red Velcro patch at the front of the belt, which, when worn correctly, is completely covered by the supporting side straps.
Back injuries account for the greatest number of worker compensation claims in the U.S. and Canada. The Champion belt reduces the incidence of job-related back injuries and repetitive strain injuries, as well as reducing fatigue by providing abdominal lift support. The "Cover the Red and Go Ahead" motto of Champion's belt describes how employees and supervisors can monitor that the work belt is being worn correctly so that all of the advantages and benefits of the belt can be realized. If the red patch is not covered, the belt is not being worn properly and the needed adjustment can be made quickly and easily without removing the work belt. Belts without the alternate color patch are difficult to monitor for correct wearing, and are often worn incorrectly, thus reducing the support function of the belt. Because the color patch is a patent protected design of Champion Ergonomics, no other belt offers it.
Besides being easier to wear correctly, Champion work belts are also more comfortable. The elastic binding conforms to body movements and helps
eliminate ride up. They are lightweight, cool and comfortable, yet rugged in design. Champion belts also feature quality control numbering so that each employee uses only his/her assigned, properly fitted belt. The belts are available in black, white and navy with or without shoulder straps.
Champion's New Generation of Work Belt Systems(TM) is ideal for people in occupations such as transportation, warehousing, construction, forestry, utilities, food processing, farming, patient care, and all manufacturing areas.
Champion Ergonomics is a one-year old Wake Forest, N.C., company with sales and distribution throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe. Included with their work belts is a full complement of posters, brochures and instructional videos which show how to wear the belt, proper lifting techniques and the importance of exercise in reducing injuries.
