NEWHALL MAN TO STAND TRIAL ON ASSAULT CHARGES.

Delgado and a 17-year-old were arrested Oct. 20, accused of beating and stabbing two men with a tool, and hitting them with a miniature baseball bat, deputies said. Officials believe the two are gang members.

One of the victims walked to the nearby sheriff's station to report the attack; the other was not immediately located. The two suspects, however, were arrested after they were seen - with blood on themselves - entering a gas station restroom.

The second suspect, who was not identified because he is a minor, faces a hearing in Sylmar Juvenile Court juvenile court
