The Newhall Library has activities for children throughout July beginning with the summer reading program.

Story Times for children ages 3-5 are conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and 1:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Story Times offer children an opportunity to hear stories, sing songs, do crafts and participate in other activities as they learn listening and library skills.

A Pajama Story Time will be held at 6:30 p.m. July 21 for children 2 to 6, who are invited to come to their library in their pajamas pajamas

Summer Reading is back at the Newhall Library, beginning at 4 p.m. July 13 with the fourth annual Celebrate Reading Carnival. Participants will play games, do crafts, have their faces painted and win prizes. The program is sponsored in part by the Los Angeles Dodgers "Dodgers" and "Brooklyn Dodgers" redirect here. At 4 p.m. July 27, children can meet a real sled dog sled dog

Any working dog used to pull a sled carrying people and supplies across snow and ice. The breeds most commonly used are the Alaskan malamute, Laika, Samoyed, and Siberian husky. All are powerful dogs with a thick coat and high endurance. See also Eskimo dog.

The monthly meeting of the Origami The code name for Microsoft's Ultra-Mobile PC. See Ultra-Mobile PC.  Club is scheduled for 4 p.m. July 22. The club is open to children 7 and up who will learn to make four or five origami projects. Newcomers are welcome, but space is limited and registration is required.

All of the events are free. The library is at 22704 Ninth St., in Newhall. For information, call 259-0750.
