NEWCOR, INC.'S WILSON AUTOMATION DIVISION ANNOUNCES RECEIPT OF A SIGNIFICANT ORDER FOR AN AUTOMOTIVE AXLE ASSEMBLY SYSTEM

 BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich., Dec. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The Wilson Automation Division of Newcor, Inc. (NASDAQ: NEWC) announced today receipt of a significant order for an automated axle assembly system from Ford Motor Company's (NYSE: F) Chassis Division for its PN 96 Axle Program.
 This order was the result of an aggressive simultaneous engineering partnership between Wilson and Ford that actively benchmarked new axle assembly technology from all over the world.
 The system is scheduled for delivery in the fall of 1994 at the Ford Sterling Heights, Mich., plant facility.
 Newcor, headquartered in Bloomfield Hills, designs and manufactures custom machines and manufacturing systems as well as special precision machined parts and molded rubber and plastic products. Newcor is listed on the NASDAQ Stock Market under the symbol NEWC.
