 NEWBRIDGE WINS NETWORKING CONTRACTS IN KOREA
 HERNDON, Va., Jan. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Newbridge Networks


announced today that the company has won contracts from two large companies in Korea to supply networking equipment. Initial orders worth $1 million have been received from Lucky Goldstar for the supply of 3600 MainStreet(R) Bandwidth Manager, 3645 MainStreet High Capacity Bandwidth Manager and 4602 MainStreet Intelligent NetworkStation(TM) products to System Technology Management Ltd. (STM). STM is a joint venture company of the Lucky Goldstar Group in Korea and provides networking services for the Lucky Goldstar Group worldwide.
 Newbridge is also currently installing the domestic portion of the Korean Airlines Limited (KAL) network. The network is expected to expand to include 10 international nodes, six in Korea and one in each of Tokyo, Hong Kong, New York and Los Angeles. Equipment includes the 3600 MainStreet Bandwidth Manager, 3612 MainStreet Narrow-band Multiplexer, and 4602 MainStreet Intelligent NetworkStation products.
 Newbridge Networks is an international company which designs, manufactures, markets and services high performance, standards-based networking products for global LAN and WAN applications, all manageable by a single, graphically rich network management system. Facilities are located in Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia.
