) and President of the International Association of Crime Analysts The International Association of Crime Analysts (IACA) is a professional association founded in 1990 to provide training, literature, networking, and professional development resources to individuals involved in the crime analysis profession.  Noah Fritz will present "The Benefits of Crime Analysis Data from a Regional Approach." Mr. Fritz will demonstrate the importance of sharing crime analysis data in the fight against terrorism.

Detective Dan Ingling of the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office will present "Regional Data Sharing The ability to share the same data resource with multiple applications or users. It implies that the data are stored in one or more servers in the network and that there is some software locking mechanism that prevents the same set of data from being changed by two people at the same time.  - Integrated Law Enforcement Project." Detective Ingling is instrumental in linking Burlington County's 32 law enforcement agencies, the Sheriff's Office and the Prosecutor's office, and he will discuss how the sharing critical information can help solve and prevent crimes, enhancing intelligence capabilities.

Seminar attendees will also have the opportunity to listen to Assistant Chief Steve Ridgley and Captain Ron Gennarelli from the Hammond, IN Police Department and Sergeant W. Alan Ross from the Gary, IN Police Department present "Regional Information Sharing in 2002 - A New Approach." Ridgley, Gennarelli and Ross will discuss the benefits of their regional data-sharing project involving East Chicago, Hammond and Gary, IN police departments.

The seminar is targeted towards chiefs, sheriffs, records managers, crime analysts, detectives, sergeants, lieutenants IT managers and other public safety officials interested in learning how a multi-agency approach to information sharing can help protect its citizens. This is an excellent opportunity for law enforcement to learn about new techniques from industry experts and peers.
