Our first question is "What's the best thing about the Valley?" The choices are weather, people, location, job opportunities or recreational opportunities. Personally, I voted for the weather, but I'm from Indiana, where the temperatures -- with wind chill wind chill, the cooling effect of wind and temperature combined, expressed in terms of the effect produced by a lower, windless temperature, also called wind chill factor, wind chill temperature, wind chill equivalent temperature, wind chill index, wind chill -- were below zero this week! At her recent installation luncheon, L.A. Council member Wendy Greuel Wendy Greuel is President Pro Tempore of the Los Angeles City Council representing the 2nd District. Greuel was elected in 2002 to fill the remainder of the term of Councilman Joel Wachs. She was elected in her own right in 2003 and reelected in 2007. honored hon·or n. 1. The music world lost a well-known jazz historian and author on Jan. 29 when Studio City resident Floyd Levin Floyd Levin (September 24, 1922 - January 29, 2007) was a jazz historian who has been published in many magazines, including Down Beat, Jazz Journal International and American Rag. passed away.
