MINNEAPOLIS, March 31 /PRNewswire/ -- The 19th Annual Minnesota Golf Champions golf tournament has new corporate sponsorship for 1993. SBM Company and Sterling Capital Advisors, Inc. have teamed together to continue the Minnesota Golf Champions tournament at Minneapolis Golf Club.
The tournament dates are Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 11-13, 1993. Minneapolis Golf Club has been the home for the tournament since the event began in 1974.
"We like the tradition of excellence the tournament has enjoyed, from the quality of the players to the quality of the host golf course," said Roman Schmid, chairman of SBM Company. "Co-sponsoring the 1993 Minnesota Golf Champions tournament is a wonderful way for SBM to have this important golf institution continue."
Dick Storlie, president of Sterling Capital Advisors added, "New sponsorship brings new possibilities. Both companies share a keen interest in quality performance, programs and services, which the Minnesota Golf Champions tournament exemplifies, and it's a natural fit."
The Minnesota Golf Champions tournament includes current and former state golf champions and other top-level golfers from both the amateur and professional ranks.
