NEWHALL -- The Unitarian Universalists of Santa Clarita Valley The Santa Clarita Valley is the valley of the Santa Clara River in Southern California. It stretches through Los Angeles County and Ventura County. Its main population center is the city of Santa Clarita. The valley was part of the 48,612-acre (19,672.  will begin holding Sunday morning Sunday Morning may refer to:
  • "Sunday Morning (radio program)", a Canadian radio program formerly aired on CBC Radio One
  • CBS News Sunday Morning, a television news program on CBS in the United States
  • Sunday Morning (TBS TV series)
 worship services at a new location starting July 2.

Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center, 22900 Market St., Newhall. The congregation has been meeting at Newhall Elementary School elementary school: see school.  for the past two years.

Membership growth and an infusion of young families with children prompted the move to larger quarters. Unitarian Universalists draw upon the teachings of many faiths to help individuals build their own theology.

On July 2, members will meet at 9:30 a.m. at the old location to walk to the new one, a practice drawn from ancient Jewish tradition. They will wear bright yellow T-shirts and carry the church banner, chalice chalice [Lat.,=cup], ancient name for a drinking cup, retained for the eucharistic or communion cup. Its use commemorates the cup used by Jesus at the Last Supper.  and hymnals as they cover the six blocks from Newhall Elementary to the senior center.
