``We may expand in the future,'' Ward said. ``We have three times as many applications for space right now as we can accept.''

The farmers market will present a number of specialty products like the new and freshest tomatoes, picked the night before, Ward said. There will be huge artichokes and tiny versions of other vegetables.

``The market itself is just fun,'' Ward said. ``It takes you back to being a kid, and you went to the farmer's roadside stand and bought ears of corn. It's that feeling of being connected with nature.''

The market will be open from 8 a.m. to noon every Sunday, rain or shine.
