NEW CLARITY AND RANGE FOR CELLULAR PHONES INTRODUCED (Product Announcement)

NEW CLARITY AND RANGE FOR CELLULAR PHONES INTRODUCED
NAPLES, Fla., Dec. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Radical new technology that

will permit increased clarity and extended range for users of cellular phones and two-way radios was announced today by NSI Limited, a fast- emerging, Florida-based research and development company. The new receiver design, called NUMA(TM), uses advanced digital signal processing to directly convert information contained in a radio signal to a digital format. Just as digital technology has improved many other types of consumer products, NSI expects this new technology to advance the state-of-the-art in radio communication.
NUMA's unique, patent-pending design makes normal operation possible even under extremely weak signal conditions -- where conventional receivers would experience fading and static and cellular phones could disconnect.
Although NSI is focusing on cellular and two-way radio at the present time, other applications are already under development. According to NSI Vice President of Engineering, Mark Hedstrom, "Any device employing a Frequency Modulation type of transmission will benefit significantly from the incorporation of NUMA. What's more, our process is very cost-effective, making it most attractive to many segments of today's consumer electronic market."
NSI is currently negotiating licensing arrangements.
