NEW ALLNET TELADVANCE CARD SERVES AS 'GIFT CERTIFICATE' FOR LONG-DISTANCE CALLS

BINGHAM FARMS, Mich., May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Allnet Communication Services, Inc., one of the country's largest providers of telecommunication services, has developed a gift which won't end up in the attic, basement or bottom dresser drawer of the recipient.
The new Allnet TelAdvance Card(sm) is the way to provide friends, family and associates access to easy long-distance telephone calls. The card holder is able to make pre-paid, long-distance and international calls by utilizing the Allnet network. In addition, the Allnet TelAdvance Card can allow the caller access to information services on a variety of subjects including stock market updates, sports, weather and health tips.
Allnet TelAdvance Cards can be purchased in 200, 150 and 100 unit values. Each unit costs 24 cents and buys a set amount of services. For example, a domestic long-distance call would utilize 1.25 units per minute during "business hours" and one unit in the "off hours."
"The Allnet TelAdvance Card is almost like a gift certificate for long-distance calls," said Greg Jones, senior vice president, Allnet Communication Services. "Our customers are finding a variety of uses for the cards. Parents are giving the cards as gifts to students away at school and businesses have been providing them as give-aways for favorite clients."
The Allnet TelAdvance Card also provides employers with a convenient method of controlling costs on long-distance calls. Since the amount of calls is determined in advance, the costs are easily budgeted.
Individuals interested in ordering the Allnet TelAdvance Card can use VISA or MasterCard by calling 1-800-783-2020. A personal calling code number and the card's expiration date will be provided and an Allnet TelAdvance Card will be sent promptly.
Allnet Communication Services, Inc., headquartered in Bingham Farms, is one of the country's largest providers of long-distance telecommunication services. Allnet is a wholly owned subsidiary of ALC Communications Corporation. ALC stock is publicly traded on the American Stock Exchange (symbol: ALC).
